Meissen porcelain rectangular plaques after Raphael

 

This set of eight rectangular Meissen porcelain plaques, carefully crafted after works by Raphael, are beautifully inlaid within a wooden frame. The largest plaque, measuring 29.5cm by 20.5cm, features "The Transfiguration," while the other plaques in the collection include one of Mary Magdalene (8.5cm x 11.5cm) and six others showcasing "The Sistine Madonna," Saint Sixtus, Saint Barbara, the Nativity, Saint Veronica Holding the Holy Shroud, and La Belle Jardinière, all measuring 11cm x 8.5cm and marked with the iconic blue crossed swords from the mid to late 19th century. The overall dimensions of this stunning collection are 50cm x 53cm.
