Attributed to Jack L. Bracelin, It is popular belief this book has been ghost-written by the Sufi master Sayed Idries Shah as during the 1950s Shah had been Gardner's secretary at the museum. on the Isle of Man and established the publishing company Octagon Press in 1960.
